Woman Charged with Murder After Allegedly Shooting Ex-Boyfriend in Worthington


A woman has been charged with murder after allegedly shooting and killing her ex-boyfriend in Worthington, Ohio, on February 3, 2025. Claire Touvell, 23, called 911 to report the shooting, telling dispatchers that she had shot her ex, Stephen Horton.

Police arrived at the scene, located at the 6300 block of Proprietors Road, to find Horton lying in a parking lot with a gunshot wound. Despite attempts to provide assistance, Horton later succumbed to his injuries.

Touvell was arrested at the scene and taken to the police headquarters for questioning, but she reportedly declined to answer any questions. She now faces charges related to the shooting, and the investigation is ongoing.

This tragic incident has left the local community in shock, and authorities continue to piece together the details surrounding the crime.
