Police Release Photos of Suspect in Deadly Brooklyn Dollar Van Shooting

EAST FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN – Police have released images of a man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a dollar van driver last month, hoping the public can help identify the suspect.

The deadly incident occurred on January 12 along Utica Avenue in East Flatbush. According to investigators, a dollar van pulled up beside another that was double-parked when gunfire erupted. The victim, 25-year-old Johanci Chapman, was shot in the arm. He was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Authorities have not yet determined a motive for the shooting, leaving many in the community searching for answers. The NYPD urges anyone who recognizes the suspect in the released photos or has any relevant information to come forward.
