An 8-year-old girl was waiting for a school bus with her brother fatally died after being hit by a school bus in a neighborhood in Kansas on Wednesday.
8-Year-Old Girl Was hit by a School Bus
An 8-year-old girl and her brother were waiting for a school bus on Wednesday to head to the school in a residential neighborhood in Kansas. But a tragic incident happened after the young girl stepped out between the two cars leading a school bus to hit her.
In a published article in FOX News, Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as Harmoney Marie Harper and he also said that the incident happened around 7:23 a.m. in Wichita, Kansas.
Moreover, police authorities also revealed that a Derby School District Yellow Blue Bird School Bus hit the young girl and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Accident is Currently Under Investigation
According to a published article in USA Today, the accident involving the death of an 8-year-old girl is currently under investigation. Investigators believed that the child ran into the street and was hit by the oncoming bus that fatally hit her.
However, the parents of the child have no plans of filing charges against the school bus driver. Derby superintendent Heather Bohaty said, “We are heartbroken by the loss of one of our students. Students and staff will be supported by additional social workers from schools across our district.”
