A shocking surveillance footage from a Georgia gas station showed the terrible incident when a father reportedly left a loaded firearm in the car with his two sons, one of whom died as a result of a gunshot wound to the head.

According to the recently published article from Blaze Media, Dante Daugherty, 42, is shown on video parking his car at the pump and entering the station. Inside the car are his two boys, ages six and seven. Shortly after, the 6-year-old youngster rips open the vehicle door and flees. When Daugherty got to his car, he discovered his 7-year-old son, Zayre Daugherty, had been gunshot wound to the head.
Police said they responded to the call at 6:30 p.m., but the kid was declared dead at the scene. According to an arrest warrant acquired by WAGA-TV, the youngster was shot in the head.

According to the recently published article from Ground News, at about 6:30 p.m. on Monday evening, DeKalb County police responded to a report of a person shot along Rock Chapel Road. Daugherty was recognized as the boy on Tuesday. Dante Daugherty, 42, was arrested and charged with two charges of cruelty to minors and one crime of murder in the second degree in connection with the boy’s death, according to police.
Daugherty, according to arrest warrants, left two siblings inside the car with a loaded revolver. That’s when Zayre’s 6-year-old brother discovered the gun and shot him in the head. Daugherty is set to appear in court for the first time on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the DeKalb Magistrate’s Court. Customers at the petrol station expressed their sadness at the death, according to Atlanta News First.
