Man Wounded in Greater Grand Crossing Shootout Arrested


In a shocking turn of events in Chicago’s Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood, a man was wounded in a shootout and later arrested by police. The incident occurred on Sunday night around 8:28 p.m. in the 6500 block of South Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

According to the Chicago Police Department, a 29-year-old man was involved in a verbal altercation with three other individuals in an apartment complex when gunfire erupted. During the exchange, the man was shot twice in the leg. He was quickly taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center for treatment, where he was later arrested.
