MPD Seeking Suspects in Attempted Robbery in Southeast


The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects involved in an attempted robbery that occurred on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, in Southeast D.C.

At approximately 4:30 p.m. on that day, the victim was walking in the 1000 block of 1st Street, Southeast, when they were approached by multiple individuals. The suspects assaulted the victim and made an unsuccessful attempt to take the victim’s coat before fleeing the scene. Nearby surveillance cameras captured the suspects, who can be seen in the photos below:

The suspects remain unidentified, and authorities are now seeking the community’s assistance. Anyone who recognizes these individuals or has information about the incident is urged to contact police immediately. The MPD has a dedicated tip line where you can report information anonymously:

The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of those responsible for violent crimes in the District of Columbia.
