Tragic Collision on I-11 Ramp Leaves One Dead in Southeast Las Vegas

A devastating two-vehicle collision in the southeast Las Vegas valley resulted in the death of a man early Sunday morning. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on the ramp connecting northbound Interstate 11 to the westbound 215 Beltway.

According to Nevada State Police Highway Patrol, the crash involved an SUV and a small private passenger bus. The bus had been stopped in the far-left travel lane when the SUV struck it from behind. The impact of the collision led to one fatality, with the man pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have not yet released details regarding the identity of the deceased or confirmed whether he was inside the SUV or the bus. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances leading to the crash, including why the bus was stopped on the ramp and whether any other factors contributed to the collision.

The ramp remained closed for several hours as police conducted their investigation, causing significant delays for early morning commuters. Drivers were advised to seek alternative routes during the closure.

This tragedy serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining caution on the roads, particularly during the early hours when visibility and attentiveness may be reduced. Nevada State Police have urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward to aid in the ongoing investigation.

As authorities work to uncover the full story, the community mourns the loss of a life in this unfortunate accident. Let this be a moment to reflect on the importance of road safety and the need for vigilance behind the wheel.
