Crime Stoppers: Bowling Green Police Seek Suspect in Hit-and-Run Investigation

Bowling Green Police are actively searching for the driver responsible for a hit-and-run that tragically claimed the life of a bicyclist on Louisville Road near Moorman Lane. The incident occurred sometime between 7:30 p.m. on Friday, January 17, and 7 a.m. on Saturday, January 18.

The victim, 46-year-old Terry Zweig, was riding south toward Bowling Green when he was struck by what police believe to be a 2003 to 2009 Dodge Ram pickup truck. The vehicle likely has damage to its right side, but authorities have yet to locate the truck or its driver.

The Bowling Green Police Department is now calling on the public for assistance in solving this case. If you have any information about the hit-and-run, please contact South Central Kentucky Crime Stoppers at 270-781-CLUE or 866-842-CLUE. Tips can also be submitted through their P3 Tips app, available for mobile devices.

You can provide information completely anonymously—neither the telephone lines are recorded nor do they use caller ID. Crime Stoppers offers a reward of up to $1,000 for any tip that leads to an arrest.

“We need anyone who may have witnessed the incident or knows something about the vehicle to come forward,” said Detective James Wilkins.

The community’s help is vital in bringing justice to Terry Zweig’s family.
