In a dramatic turn of events, a routine traffic stop in Bullhead City, Arizona, led to the arrest of a man and a woman after police discovered approximately 5.6 ounces of methamphetamine in their vehicle, according to authorities.
The Bullhead City Police Department confirmed the arrests of 38-year-old Brei Nichole Zagorsky and 35-year-old Christopher Earnest Beals on Thursday, Jan. 16. The stop occurred near U.S. 95 and Marble Canyon Road, a busy roadway in Bullhead City, which is located roughly 100 miles southeast of Las Vegas.
What began as a standard traffic stop escalated when officers uncovered Beals had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear before the Bullhead City Justice Court. Following this discovery, the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit was called in to assist. The canine team detected and led officers to the drugs, ultimately resulting in the arrests.
Zagorsky and Beals now face serious charges, including the transportation of dangerous drugs for sale. Both individuals are currently in custody at the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.
