Missouri Man Sought in Connection to Walmart Assault Incident


Police Identify Suspect in Walmart Assault Incident in Morehead City

Morehead City, N.C. — Authorities in Morehead City have identified a suspect in connection with a serious assault that occurred at the Walmart located on U.S. 70 on December 30.

According to Morehead City police, arrest warrants have been issued for Mark Reigle, a Missouri resident, in relation to the incident. Officials state that the assault took place around 1:00 p.m. following a verbal altercation between the suspect and the victim.

Reports indicate that the argument escalated when Reigle allegedly entered the victim’s personal space, prompting the victim to push him back. At that point, police say Reigle struck the victim in the head, causing serious injuries. After the assault, Reigle reportedly fled the scene.

The warrants issued for Reigle’s arrest are for assault inflicting serious injury, a charge that highlights the severity of the incident. Morehead City authorities are actively seeking Reigle’s whereabouts to bring him into custody.
