Pullman Tragedy: Teen Killed, Two Wounded in Shocking Shooting


A tragic shooting in the Pullman neighborhood of Chicago on Sunday afternoon left one teenager dead and two others hospitalized, according to police.

The incident happened inside a home in the 13100 block of South Corliss Avenue around 12:10 p.m. The victims included three teenagers—aged 18, 17, and 16—who were all shot during the attack.

Makai Rodriguez, a 16-year-old boy, was struck by gunfire nine times. He was rushed to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he sadly passed away.

The 17-year-old victim suffered eight gunshot wounds and remains in critical condition. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center for treatment. The third victim, an 18-year-old, was shot once in the right arm. He is currently in good condition and also receiving care at the University of Chicago Medical Center.

Police have identified a person of interest and are conducting an interview as part of the ongoing investigation.

This heartbreaking incident highlights the growing concerns about violence affecting young people in communities across Chicago. Authorities are working to determine the circumstances that led to the shooting and are urging anyone with information to come forward to help with the investigation.
