The suspects, facing capital murder charges, were apprehended within 24 hours as part of a fast-moving investigation into the death of 20-year-old Xavier Jones Sr. The murder occurred on the night of November 25, 2024, at Jones’ apartment in the 400 block of East Wonsley Drive.

According to law enforcement, the suspects—Camron Josh-Anthony Perkins (22), Lorance Jones (22), Rhianna Doreen Farillas (21), Jon Charles Williard Jr. (20), and Judaren Makeel Forbes (20)—are accused of conspiring to break into Jones’ apartment, where they shot and killed him. Police reports suggest that the group used a gun to break through the sliding glass door before fatally shooting Jones. Following the murder, the suspects stole jewelry from the scene, according to the Austin Police Department.

The investigation, led by the Austin Police Department’s Homicide Unit, has confirmed that all five suspects played a role in the violent crime. Authorities have also identified a sixth individual believed to have been involved, though it remains unclear when or if they will be taken into custody.

The U.S. Marshals Service coordinated the arrests, and all five suspects have been booked into the Travis County jail, where they will face capital murder charges. While the investigation continues, the quick arrests offer hope for justice for Jones and his family, as police work to piece together the full details of this horrific crime.
