LAS VEGAS, Nev. – A suspect has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting during a robbery in Las Vegas, authorities revealed today. The shooting took place on December 8, 2024, around 4:48 p.m., when two victims were ambushed in their vehicle, a grey 2019 Dodge Charger.
The driver, Nadia Dickerson, was tragically shot in the head and neck and was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, Jermonte Dickerson, sustained gunshot wounds to his head and shoulder but survived and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Witnesses reported seeing 3 to 5 suspects surround the victims’ vehicle just before the gunfire erupted. A female suspect approached the driver’s side door, and moments before the shooting, a voice was heard shouting something similar to “give it up.” Surveillance footage revealed the female suspect wearing a red and white hooded sweatshirt, walking toward the scene alongside a male suspect.
Detectives later discovered that Jermonte had been in communication with another individual via Instagram, discussing the purchase of a firearm. It was revealed that he had arranged to buy a gun for $1,000, and Nadia had driven him to the location. Once the suspects received the money, they opened fire on the victims’ vehicle as it attempted to flee the scene.
Using social media and facial recognition technology, LVMPD detectives identified Alexandria Burks and Donta Allen as suspects. Evidence from their social media, including videos and photos, linked them to the crime. Following the shooting, Allen and another suspect, identified as Washington, were reportedly planning another robbery.
Donta Allen, who was arrested on January 27, initially denied his involvement but later confessed to participating in the robbery. He also mentioned others involved, though he refused to name them.
Allen is scheduled to appear in court on March 5.
