Man Shot and Killed in Douglas Drive-By Attack


A tragic shooting took place on Thursday afternoon in the Douglas neighborhood of Chicago. A 27-year-old man lost his life after being shot in a drive-by attack.

The incident happened just after 4 p.m. on South Michigan Avenue, near the 2900 block. According to Chicago police, the man was standing on the sidewalk when a dark-colored sedan drove by, heading north. Someone inside the car opened fire, hitting the victim twice in the chest.

Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and rushed the man to the University of Chicago Medical Center. Unfortunately, he was in critical condition and later died from his injuries.

Authorities are still investigating the case, but no arrests have been made so far. The police have not released any further details about the suspect or the motive behind the shooting.

This tragic event has raised concerns about gun violence in the area. Residents are urged to stay alert and report any suspicious activity to the police. The community hopes that law enforcement will find those responsible and bring them to justice.
