Teenagers Planned Robbery Before Deadly Shooting, Flaunted Stolen Money

LAS VEGAS — In a shocking turn of events, an 18-year-old has been arrested in connection with a planned robbery that turned into a fatal shooting in Las Vegas. Police say Donta Allen, along with an accomplice, targeted a couple selling a gun, ultimately leaving one person dead and the other wounded.

According to authorities, the deadly incident occurred on December 8 near Soda Springs Drive, close to Pecos Road and Cheyenne Avenue. Jermonte Dickerson and Nadia Dickerson were inside their vehicle when several individuals approached them, demanding money before opening fire. Nadia Dickerson was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators revealed that Jermonte had arranged to sell a firearm through Instagram, messaging with a person later identified as Alexandria Burks. Just minutes before the attack, an Instagram audio call was placed, marking the last communication before gunfire erupted. Witnesses reported hearing a demand such as “Give it up,” immediately followed by multiple gunshots.

Court documents state that as Jermonte and Nadia sat in their car, two young suspects attempted to snatch money from Nadia’s hands. When she resisted and tried to drive away, both suspects pulled out handguns and began firing. Police later recovered six shell casings from the crime scene.

Authorities traced the Instagram account to Burks and uncovered incriminating messages between her and Allen, where they allegedly planned the robbery. After the shooting, Allen reportedly sent a video to someone showing another individual flashing large amounts of cash. In the footage, Allen is seen mimicking gunfire while making violent gestures toward the camera.

Further investigation revealed that Burks and Allen had discussed another armed robbery, but Allen was allegedly deemed “too eager to shoot,” according to police.

Allen was arrested on January 27 and admitted his role in the robbery, though he refused to disclose the identity of the shooter. Meanwhile, a warrant remains active for Burks.

Authorities urge anyone with information to contact Metro police at 702-828-3521 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 to remain anonymous.
