MS-13 Gang Member Arrested on Las Vegas Strip for Utah Robbery

Las Vegas, NV – A dangerous MS-13 gang member wanted for a violent robbery in Utah was arrested Sunday morning on the iconic Las Vegas Strip. Dennis Solares-Garcia, 39, was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Nevada Violent Offender Task Force after a joint investigation between multiple law enforcement agencies.

Solares-Garcia is accused of robbing a store in Utah, where he allegedly stole an undisclosed amount of cash while armed with a firearm. After committing the crime, he fled, prompting St. George police to request assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service Utah Violent Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team.

Information surfaced that Solares-Garcia had fled to Las Vegas, leading the task force to focus on the 2800 block of Las Vegas Boulevard. At around 11:30 a.m., U.S. Marshals tracked down the suspect and arrested him without incident.

Solares-Garcia, who had previously been deported, was booked into the Clark County Detention Center and will face charges related to the robbery.

U.S. Marshal Gary Schofield expressed relief, stating, “An MS-13 gang member responsible for a violent crime was removed from the community today. Thanks to the diligent investigative work of all involved agencies, he can no longer pose a threat.”

The arrest highlights the continued efforts of law enforcement to tackle violent offenders and gang-related crime, ensuring the safety of the public in Nevada and beyond.
