A heartbreaking tragedy unfolded near Red Rock Canyon on Thursday evening when a 21-year-old Las Vegas resident lost his life in a roll-over crash. The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol responded to the scene on State Route 159, near mile marker 12, at around 7 p.m.
According to authorities, the driver of a black BMW, identified as Branden Tyler Carl, failed to stay within his lane, crossing over the centerline raised lane markers. The driver lost control of the vehicle, which began to rotate clockwise before overturning.
Tragically, Carl was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene from the injuries sustained in the crash.
This devastating accident serves as a somber reminder of the dangers of road safety, and the community mourns the loss of a young life far too soon. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
