Phoenix, AZ – A 77-year-old woman, Patricia Gaskill, has been arrested on suspicion of murdering her 78-year-old husband, Vernon Gaskill, after allegedly stabbing him to death last week in central Phoenix.
The Phoenix Police Department responded to a call on January 26, 2025, around 10:00 a.m., about an unknown disturbance in the area of 13th Street and Bethany Home Road. When officers arrived, they found Patricia Gaskill inside a nearby apartment. Upon entering, authorities discovered her husband, Vernon, with clear signs of trauma. Despite efforts to assist, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Patricia Gaskill was initially transported to a nearby hospital for treatment related to unrelated medical issues. Once medically cleared, she was taken into custody and booked into jail on charges of murder.
