CHICAGO – A heartbreaking case has emerged in North Lawndale, where a 20-year-old woman has been charged with the murder of a 5-month-old baby, authorities confirmed.
The Chicago Police Department announced that Tamyra Anderson was arrested on Thursday in connection with the infant’s tragic death. The baby was found unresponsive on November 24, 2024, in the 1500 block of South Millard and later succumbed to his injuries.
Following an investigation, Anderson was charged with first-degree murder and felony strong probability death/injury. Police have not yet disclosed further details regarding the cause of the baby’s injuries or Anderson’s relationship to the child.
