Tragic: Man Found Fatally Shot in South Chicago Home


A 33-year-old man was shot and killed early Friday morning in South Chicago.

According to police, officers responded to a call around 8:30 a.m. and found the man inside a house located on the 7900 block of South East End Avenue. He was unresponsive and had a gunshot wound to his chest.

Emergency services arrived, but sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The Cook County medical examiner’s office later confirmed that his death was ruled a homicide.

Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name, and there have been no arrests reported in connection to the incident. The investigation is ongoing as police work to uncover what led to the shooting.

No additional details were immediately available.

This tragic event adds to the ongoing concerns about gun violence in the area. Residents are urged to contact the police with any information that could assist in solving this case.
