The U.S. Marshals Service is intensifying its search for 51-year-old Luis Lopez-Quezada, a suspect in a 2022 North Las Vegas homicide. Considered armed, dangerous, and an international flight risk, Lopez-Quezada remains at large more than two years after the incident.
The case stems from a November 10, 2022, altercation at a 7-Eleven convenience store. According to reports, Lopez-Quezada confronted 37-year-old Tanoaalii Fetaomi Tevaseu, who had been previously trespassed from the store. An argument escalated when Tevaseu attempted to leave but threw his bicycle at Lopez-Quezada, prompting Lopez-Quezada to fire a fatal shot.
Tevaseu, described by his aunt, Akenese Lelei, as a joyful and respectful individual, had faced personal struggles but was remembered fondly by his family. “I hope they find the person who took his life,” Lelei stated in an interview.
Officials believe Lopez-Quezada may have fled to Mexico and could be in Las Vegas or Los Angeles. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact the U.S. Marshals Service at 1-877-926-8332.
