LAS VEGAS – A tragic accident claimed the life of a man on Thursday evening after a rollover crash near Calico Basin, according to Nevada State Police.
The fatal crash occurred shortly after 7 p.m. on Red Rock Canyon Road (State Route 159), around mile marker 12. A single SUV was involved in the incident, which resulted in the vehicle flipping over. Emergency responders confirmed the man’s death at the scene.
Authorities have closed both northbound and southbound lanes of Red Rock Canyon Road at mile marker 12 for an undetermined period while they investigate the cause of the crash. Drivers are urged to avoid the area and take alternate routes to prevent further delays.
