Sacramento Sheriff’s Detectives Investigate Murder-Suicide in Rosemont

ROSEMONT, CA (Sacramento Bee) – Authorities are investigating a murder-suicide after two men were found dead inside a Rosemont home earlier this week. Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene on Sutterwoods Way on Monday morning after a friend of Jesse Singh Janda, 33, called the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District to check on him. Janda had failed to meet his friend for a golf game on Sunday.

Fire personnel discovered two men with gunshot wounds at the home, and investigators later identified Janda as one of the victims. Deputies noted that Janda was still holding a handgun beneath his body, alongside two expended shell casings. Authorities believe the tragic incident occurred as a murder-suicide, with Janda as the shooter.

The second man’s identity has not yet been publicly released. Detectives are continuing their investigation to determine the exact events leading up to the shooting. The discovery has sent shockwaves through the community as they await further details.

As the investigation unfolds, authorities have urged anyone with additional information to come forward to assist in clarifying the circumstances surrounding this disturbing event.
