Pedestrian Killed in Fatal South Las Vegas Crash

Las Vegas, NV – A devastating crash in the south Las Vegas valley claimed the life of a pedestrian early Sunday morning. The incident, which occurred around midnight near Desert Inn Road and Pawnee Drive, marks the 17th traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction this year.

According to LVMPD, a Nissan Altima was traveling westbound on Desert Inn Road when a pedestrian suddenly crossed its path. The impact propelled the individual forward, while the vehicle came to a controlled stop.

The 29-year-old driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment, authorities confirmed. Despite immediate life-saving efforts from emergency responders, the pedestrian was pronounced dead on-site.

This tragic accident underscores the ongoing dangers of pedestrian-related crashes in the valley. Authorities urge both drivers and pedestrians to remain cautious, especially in low-visibility conditions.

The incident remains under investigation, and no further details have been released at this time.
