HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A dramatic pursuit unfolded in East Harris County on Friday evening, culminating in the apprehension of a violent suspect allegedly linked to a murder earlier that day.
According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the incident occurred in the 1000 block of Deerpass Drive, where deputies coordinated with out-of-county officers searching for the wanted individual. When law enforcement made contact, the suspect attempted to escape on foot.
During the pursuit, a Harris County deputy discharged their weapon, though officials later confirmed that the suspect was not struck. Following an extensive search, authorities successfully located and arrested the individual.
Sheriff Gonzalez revealed that the suspect was allegedly involved in a murder in the San Marcos area on Friday. However, officials have yet to release the suspect’s identity or provide further details regarding the homicide.
