The charges against an Iowa man were upgraded to second-degree murder after the body of his girlfriend was found in the ditch early this year.
Iowa Man Dumped the Body of His Girlfriend in a Ditch
Police authorities charged and arrested Ivan Brammer, 61 years old, for fatally killing his girlfriend early this year. It was also found that he dumped the body of his girlfriend in a ditch. A series of autopsies were also conducted to determine the cause of death of the victim.
In a published article in TRUE CRIME DAILY, the daughter of Ilene Gowan reported to the Council Bluffs Police Department that her mother went missing after not hearing and seeing her since February 13. On February 26, Ilene Gowa’s body was found in a ditch.

Charges Against the Iowa Man Was Upgraded
According to a published article in WOWT, the Iowa man was initially charged with abuse of a corpse and second-degree theft on May 23. However, the County Bluffs Police Department announced on August 9 that the charges were upgraded to second-degree murder.
Furthermore, the cause of Ilene Gowan’s death cannot yet be established, but a series of autopsies were already conducted. The police department also said that they are working with a pathologist in New York, who conducted the second autopsy.
