New York Man Brutally Beat, Choked, and Urinated on an Unconscious Man
A New York man brutally beat, choked, and urinated on an unconscious man in front of the house they shared. The suspect is identified as Felix Martinez, 46 years old, while the victim is identified as Richard Shields, 56 years old, who died 5 days after the attack.
In a published article in FOX News, investigators said that Martinez confronted Shields on August 4 in front of the house they shared Jarvin Road in Port Jefferson Station. A surveillance video footage that the investigators obtained from the neighbors revealed how Martinez brutally attacked the victim.
It was found that Shields was just sitting in a chair in front of the house when Martinez confronted him. The suspect punched, choked, and stomped on the victim before hitting Shields on the head with a mop bucket over the next 15 minutes.
New York Man Was Indicted
According to a published article in Yahoo News, the New York man was indicted on Tuesday for the brutal attack. He was charged with second-degree murder and second-degree attempted murder, Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced.
Tierney also said, “Richard Shields suffered brutal and deadly injuries after this defendant allegedly attacked him. My office will continue to work hard to ensure appropriate justice as a result. We will not allow individuals to carry out such acts of violence in Suffolk County without facing significant consequences.”
Furthermore, Martinez was held without bail and his next schedule will be on September 22. He will serve 25 years in prison if found guilty of the crime.
